By the end of September 2019, two Irish record diggers spent their last days of summer by the west side of Portugal, near Aveiro. They've stayed on a rented house owned by mister Dionisio, a former radio DJ from a local station, soon to realize his private record collection was stocked with mostly 80s music.
The couple promptly volunteered to properly digitize Dionisio's favorite records for his listening pleasure, now that the elder didn't even have a record player.

From a time when music was merely depoliticized and focused on pure emotion, combined with the democratization of technology and new electronic instruments, some of these tracks are now available for the listening pleasure of everyone in this compilation.

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
